It's tough for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have long been mastered.

This is the unit that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and once went over three years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, those for the achievement hunters, are the only things left for a side that has achieved everything.

The fact it required until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the highest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It's difficult for their hitters to maintain a record if never given the possibility.

What's clear is this ton was considerably tougher to see coming.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 occurred when she led the batting statistics, but this innings was preceded by six games in India over the past few weeks in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"If you've observed me in the nets, it has been a frustrating experience because it seemed my form was missing whatsoever," commented Healy.

"But once you take the field, your competitive instincts activate and you just lock into the contest."

She was tormented by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, out to the young fast bowler in every game, but this time it merely gave Healy's motivation.

A single came off Gaud's first delivery and from there the right-hander was in motion.

"An opportunity to play and lock in a contest with her and just have a bit of fun that way, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

By the time she was out the team needed 66 additional runs at run per delivery - an achievable target now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I'm happy we have the belief to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, if we do, we are confident we can succeed."

These statements will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this championship should hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this victory following victory over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at one stage.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.

It was at that stage they exited the previous year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a match Healy missed because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the inaugural occasion at a major tournament.

So strong is her resolve, she subsequently stated she wished she had played with the discomfort.

Yet even as she afterwards confessed those fitness problems have postponed plans to retire, this championship is anticipated as her final tournament as skipper in one-day cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a world championship as captain.

Triumph in India would lead her to the peak of her ultimate challenge.
