The UK is ready to advance with utilizing the entire amount of immobilized Russia's assets to support Ukraine's defense operations, PM Sir Keir Starmer has announced.

In a collective announcement, the officials of the Britain, France, and Germany emphasized that this coordinated action would increase strain on Moscow's head Vladimir Putin and persuade Moscow to engage in negotiations.

They added that the decision would be carried out in close cooperation with the America.

British penalties have immobilized over £25bn of Russian funds since Russia began its widespread offensive against Ukraine in 2022. Yet, previously, resources provided to the Ukrainian government using Russia's holdings had solely been drawn from earnings and returns earned on them.

Sir Keir informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the United Kingdom, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany were united in their aim to push forward toward using the complete amount of the immobilized Moscow's national assets to conclude the conflict.

He noted that more restrictions in the coming days and weeks would increase the strain on Moscow.

This declaration follows European Union officials gathered in Copenhagen previously to debate employing seized Russia's assets for a €140 billion loan to the Ukrainian nation.

Last month, President Donald Trump called on Group of Seven partners to take or utilize seized Russia's funds, based on reports.

The value of frozen Russia's assets in the EU is estimated to be almost €211bn.

The Russian government launched widespread aerial attacks throughout the Ukrainian territory on that day, causing electricity outages in many areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, and several other zones.
